I'm at work...I've discovered the secret

Did anyone get told while in training to send customers to phonescoop rather than to the cingular website? We were told to send them here avoid problems with web pricing, since we can't honor it. (well, now we can since we're the web promotion department)

Well since we were told to send people here, we were premitted to look over this website when ever to get familar with it. Well I discovered the forums, and now this is my entertainment between calls. Does anyone else do this?

I actually work in a store, but I'm always logged into phonescoop. I find myself switching between pos and phonescoop all the time...

Ive always refered customers to phonescoop to look at phones for just that reason, people see the web prices and want you to honor them! Guess the dont understand "online price only!"

Ha ha..It used to drive me crazy. I'm glad that we're able to offer them now, although all we get now are people that get errors from internet and they get our number.

I do. I do use it to keep up on updates to the industry and tecnology, too. But I have so much down-time (low volume department) that I spend a fair amount of time cruising around Phonescoop.

What would we ever do without Rich's brainchild? 😉

our call volume is so up down that it could be a half-hour between calls to no time at all. It drives me crazy!

It all depends in our department if they have just dropped a new promo or not. We'll be in queue all day if they did, but right now we're on the tail end of one and we're at about 20 minutes.

I miss those days. I am on the Cingular (Blue) Save team. I remember the good ole days of HVC where the call volume was so low, there would be 15 mins between calls.
On the save team, we will show 50 reps at 9am and then it drops to 25 by 9:30. After lunch, we have like 15 reps and we're all in queue.'
I start Cingular training in less than 2 weeks. It will just be a nice break.

As I typed this post, we went from 16 available to 1 back to 3 in a 30 sec period.

What department is this if you don't mind me asking? I'd love to be in some kind of loop since my center is the last to know anything.

This isn't a department. This is a public forum. Many of us happen to be various types of employees within the wireless industry. Some are just customers or users.
