So cingular has never had unlimited text messages, and use to offer 750 messages for 10 dollars, and then media works package was unlimited net, 1500txt, and like 200mms.

NOW, 10 dollars gets you 1000 messages, 20 dollars gets yout 2500, and the data plans (media works), got ****ty. It is now 3mb net, 1000 messages, and unlimited picture messaging. Reason they did 3meg data is probably cause of the Siemens SX66, everyone including me was changing to that plan to get unlimted net instead of paying 40 dollars from cingular for net.

Cingular is so retarded with there packages, and people are paying it cause they got 48 million blah blah customers, glad i switched to a good company last month.

Yeah, its on the website with my zip code. I was with cingular for 6 months. Great coverage, just lack of plans ands services is what got me. So i switched to someone else. Im not bashing cingular, i like them. Just after merger, they got more greedy.

Yes I agree they got a tad bit greedy..but if memory serves me correctly, Cingular changes all of their voice and data plans every February, however the general public views it as having something to do with the merger, when I actually dont think it did..its just something they do every year..having said that, I think their voice plans are very good..I got the FT 2000 for $100, plus four additional lines and $10 each so thats $140 for 5 lines to share 2000 minutes, plus I have almost 6000 rollover minutes, so I am not worried about going over my minutes..2 of the lines have the old Media Works for $20 and another of the lines has the new 1000 text for $10, which is 250 more texts than you used to get at the same price..all in all, they made ...

Yeah, i dont travel any. So im not really effected. And the areas i do go, are covered. Once merger with sprint goes through, then it will be lot better and be like #2 maybe 3 in the country. Im not bashing cingular at all, dont get me wrong, i just think after the merger with AT&T they are getting more stingy. The family plan for 10 dollars more to add lines is now on the 69.99+, a few weeks ago it was the 59.99.

No offense, but don't you think that the SPRINT-NEXTEL merger will do the same thing once it is through.

personally i think that views need to stay realistic and opinions need to be open minded.

companies have their reasons for doing whatever it is they want to do. Charging more or charging less. Cingular does not force its customers to change, only if they ask for it (disclosure of information when changes are done is what i would like to see more of however)

One thing i have to point out is that if you are happy with what you have then dont change. if you dont like what you have find something better.

And kudos to everyone who uses this forum, it will make everyone who uses it more informed even though some of the threads lead to flame wars.

If you get the wrong information here or conflicting information at least you will kn...
