PTT????

i know this subject has been killed but does anyone know when its coming...the 6230i is coming this month or next month and it has ptt capability..i doubt cingular would release this phone w/o the service ready....any info when it will be released or is it being tested right now...there are many phones coming out with ptt to cingular so it must be soooooon! if it comes soon and is successsful i might switch to cingular...anybody know how the service is on the island???

They might launch the phone prior to the service if the service is not fully up and running properly and "up to par". The reason being is that they don't want to have a launch like VzW did when they first did the PTT about two years back. They want it to be on par with Nextel before it is launched, otherwise it is kinda a waste of time for them.

Cingular has already released PTT phones. The Sony Ericsson z500a is a PTT capapble phone but the feature was simply left out of Cingular's version of the phone. The phone gives you the option of using the PTT button located on the side of the phone as a shortcut key. They'll probably do the same with the 6230i until they finally decide to launch PTT, and then re-release PTT versions of the phones. When will that be? I don't think anybody here really knows.
