Need help with a really ancient phone.

A couple of years ago my girlfriend was with at&t and she had a motorola v400. Since then she has moved onto a different cell phone carrier but lately she has really been wanting to get the pictures she took on that old phone onto a pc. I've got the usb adaptor for the phone but once its plugged in I cant for the life of me figure out what to do next. The phone does not show up as a device on the computer like I expected it to. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

do you have at&t? or know anyone with an active SIM card with at&t?

Just pop in an active SIM card and MMS the pictures over to your/her email addy!

Hope this helps!

You can also get Motorola Phone tools off of the Motorola Web site. This package will allow you to copy pictures off of you phone onto your computer and it also has a bunch more functions that can be used with Morotola phones.

Charge the v400 and your current phone and take them both into your local Verizon, hand the service rep $10 and they will use their Cellebrite machine to transfer pix over to your current handset. I don't know about other carriers but one would think they have something similar.
