Who are ATT's roaming partners?

I pull up ATT's coverage tool and look at an area blanketed with the 'partner' coverage. But the only other GSM carrier available in my area is TMO and they don't offer coverage in that area.
Heck, VZW doesn't even show coverage there (although from personal experience I know VZW works in that area).

So I'm just wondering how ATT can say they have 'partner' coverage in an area no one else offers coverage? ๐Ÿ˜•

Sorry no zip code. But if you punch in latitude: 47.7131 and longitude: -121.1349 into ATT's coverage tool that'll show you.

it depends on the area. but when at&t uses a roaming partner it uses the coverage the other carrier gives them or the licensed area that carrier covers. alltel is their largest partner.

You have to think of all the regional carriers. Sure AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile are the most predominant, but there are dozens of others out there.

Well it would appear to be TMO.

But you go to TMO's coverage tool and in this area they show one small pocket of 1 bar coverage. It's no where near the amount of 'partner' coverage ATT is showing in that same area.

keep in mind that there are some mom and pa owned towers out there. For instance in some small towns in Colorado, the towers are owned by a person, not a large cell company. They can have an agreement to lease that tower.
