What's up with the a630? Is it ever going to launch or will it be completely dropped? In the history of cingular has any phone that had been advertised not ended up launching?

not from what i've seen ,but ATTWs used to have that all the time, really pissed off customers, worse part, they'd aertise it on the website, then yank it down, customers callnig and escalate over that ALL the time.

I suspect the phone will still be launched, it was supposed to be the tie in phone with the american idol promotion. As to exactly when? We probably wont know til about a week before like the s710a.

If you look at the launch announcement on the sales portal, it says that the release date was january 21st...but it's still not available.

😎 That is one drawback. see I never travel outside of ILLINOIS. And we all know T-Mobiles national coverage sucks. That having been said if you don't travel and are in or at least somewhat close to a major metropolitan area, like Chi-Town a SIDEKICK would be an excellant device. so far CINGULAR doesn't have anything that comes close 😡

Not cost efficient to an Ogo. Besides, T-Mobile bought the rights to it. Superior technology for inferior network. It's all a bid war on devices from this side. ATTWS was supposed to have a Nokia Communicator by this year, but mergers happen.

yea they never keepit past a certain time frame ... like steel sd about 100 days one carrier rights after that will go to other carriers that want to sell it , arent we also doing the s710a for a limited time just to cingular????
