Can someone explain difference b/t Orange and Blue networks?
I'm talking about a GSM 850/1900 phone.
Shouldn't any GSM phone run on both networks the same, or is there some coverage difference if you buy an ATT GSM phone?

thats right jackie đ but there is also a bit more to it.ATT's phones were designed to pick up the ATT network only, with the merger the blue phones has access to both networks, the problem is that if you are on a att tower then pass a another tower(not att) that has the same power output as the att tower it will cause the call to get bad static reception then drop.
Thats why all the "new cingular" new phones are ENS capable to handle the new combined dual networks, so no static and less dropped calls.
