COR rep question

What would be the ramifications, if you had the done the following?

ON 2.2.09 I activated a data card customer. On 2.18.09, said customer stopped by a COR store for troubleshooting help. The COR rep cancelled my data card and re activated the card I sold him with a new number. Big No No. False churn, activation fraud, or whatever you want to call it. No notes to justify why.

I emailed my at&t RAE about the situation to escalate it. Though I have little faith a contract commitment change will be done.

If You had done this, what would happen?

In this situation, everybody looses. The customer does not get their rebate, he will be charged $300 by me via my below cost agreement contract, I lost my $400 comission paid for laptop connec...

Sounds like he was so desperate in the first place he was already on his way out the door. Any rep that low won't last long.

I had a similar situation happen to me. A COR rep returned a PDA sale with unlimited everything. That was 6 months ago and I still haven't gotten a resolution. I doubt I will ever will. From what I have been told by our RAE, it is more common problem then you would think. Not so much with COR reps doing it, but customer care reps. The problem is that they also back date the sale so it becomes very difficult (according to AT&T) to discover it. I hope that you get a solution quicker than I have.

I have thought about escalation it further, but I try to stay off everyones radar. To be honest, I hate even bothering my RAE. SHe has 3 other agent bases including myself with 20+ stores.

I did speak with my RAE today, and it will go up past my ARSM to the old ARSM who was promoted to a position, that I am not sure what it is called. She does something high up in the south central region.

We shall see. Hate to see someone get in trouble. Daily, I see situations that I could manipulate to my benefit, but choose not to go down that path. Back to point one, staying off at&t's radar, besides doing a good job.

Dude the people at COR are assholes, they are lazy and dont want to help the customer. Its COR that gives this company a bad rep. Tahts not right what they did, i would call that store and ask them whats up with that.

Then again there are GREAT COR reps out there. We never hear about those tho because a customer only remembers HORRIBLE experiences.

Sorry to hear that. Glad it is not just me. I have owned stores for almost 4 years now, and this is the first time I have caught it. Not to say it hasnt been done before.

However, if the sale was done under the same BAN, back dated or not, notes should be there.

I would investigate it and if the rep has a pattern of doing that seperation from employment would be what I would do and I would cancel the new service and reactivate the older service due to OUR error.
