ATT's implementing some N-SET software
This looks like it'll be helpful to those like myself who browse the web a lot on my phone, this software is suppose to free up 3G and route voice traffic over 2G, thus freeing up bandwidth to use 3G for data. This should've been done a long time ago.

It's about time they did something. Although I've read reviews in the past that some of the voice clarity experienced on ATT's network was in partly due to the 3G, guess that won't be the case anymore unless of course as the article said you have an iPhone or BB Bold. 😕

Appearently the iPhone & BB Bold have a problem switching between 2G & 3G.

So if you want to keep a 3G connection buy a defective phone.

This is just my opinion from my experience, I think N-SET made me drop more calls. 😕

Still doing 3G calls in L.A., even though I'm using an HTC Tilt with data on PPU (for WiFi only use).

What phone are you using ?
3G voice works well (at least for me) in the L.A. area.
Most Samsungs and iPhones can have 3G disabled completely.
