Upgrade Question...Yes, it is iPhone related

I have two lines on my account. The primary line (my line) isn't eligible for upgrade until Jan. 2010. The other line is eligible August of this year.

My question is:

Could I upgrade to an iPhone on the second line and use it on the primary line?

I do this all the time with other phones as the secondary line is my grandmothers and she doesn't care what phone she has. However, I remember that with the original iPhone, you could only use the SIM card assigned to the phone.

Mr. Burger Time,

Please don't use the BB Bold as an example of excellent battery life. I have a Bold...LOVE BlackBerry and pretty much hate anything Apple produces. But the Bold battery life is nothing special. Maybe if the phone is left alone and on Standby it's ok. Long calls, regular updating from the web (Twitter and Viigo personally), streaming radio and use of GPS or even Google Maps in general drain my battery faster than...well freakishly fast. I can't make it through a full day personally without recharging the battery.

Despite this, I'll take my Bold with it's multi-tasking capability over the iPhone any day. I can listen to Slacker while getting my Twitter updates and loading a web page! Take that, iPhone!
