Can you apply a Family text plan if one phone is an iPhone?

I was playing around on the ATT website to see what it would cost me if I move to ATT when my current contract expires.

While running through the options, I noticed that there were two seperate texting options, one for the iPhone and one under family voice plan.

So, my question is...if I have an iPhone and another "normal" phone on my family plan, can I use the family messaging to cover both phones, or do I have to get seperate messaging options for each phone?

Of course! The Family Messaging Unlimited plan is compatible with all phones that are with AT&T wireless. The only plans that are specific to the iPhone is the iPhone Unlimited Data plan. Everything else is the same as their other phones.

Thanks! I was just curious because the fine print seemed to suggest that family messaging didn't apply to PDA/Smartphones.

Yes, the fine print with AT&T is a bit confusing however, I have people who purchase the Family Messaging Unlimited plan on a daily basis with the iPhone and all of our other PDA/Smartphone devices.

Thanks for the heads-up, but MMS doesn't do anything for me.

Honestly I don't see the point or the huge hype behind MMS. To me it defeats the purpose of messaging...short quick bursts of data to communicate. Besides the more people do that, the heavier the load on the network and all the users suffer.

If I want to send someone a picture, I'll e-mail it to them...
