Here's the skinny:
I'm leaving for Kenya on Saturday and need my device unlocked but Tech Support keeps giving me the run around...
I requested it a week ago Monday, but they refused because I gave them my COU #... 😕
Any of you AT&T guys out there able to get met this info quicker?

Is the e71 your COU line? If so I can guarantee you that AT&T will not give you the unlock code. If not, you need to ensure that the IMEI is showing properly for your non COU number and call back.

Call CS and order a disconnect based on them not allowing you to use your phone in the area of your trip.
They'll do it if it's a valid request.
They are within their rights to demand proof of the trip though.
