i have an iphone 3gs. i am currently overseas. in greece to be exact. i have turned of data roaming and 3g. however, i am still connected to wifi at the house i am staying at. will i be charged roaming if i am on wifi? this may sound like a dumb question, but i want to make sure before i get charged a ton on my bill. i'm assuming since i turned off data roaming and 3g i should be fine, but i just need to make sure. thanks in advance.

I guess saying thanks in advance doesn't help me get a response...

most people arn't in their stores yet at 7:31 am >.< This forum is much more active at night.

If you have 3g/edge etc turned off and you are only using wifi, there should be no roaming charges.

while you're using WIFI you're not using AT&T's network, or in your case any Greek networks. So technically, you're not really roaming.

their right, as long as you keep your data roaming off you wont be charged anything additional on your bill, just make sure its all at all time and that your in a wifi location! also as well you can send a text message thru wifi if you find an application for text messaging! its better than .50 cents a text message
