GSM and GAIT phones on family plan

Can you put a GAIT phone and a GSM phone together on the same family plan? I was under the impression online that you could. It has been mentioned that you can put the "Gait Option" on each GAIT phone that you have that way the sim card is interchangeable with a GSM phone. Does this also allow GSM phones to be together on the same family plan as GAIT phones? Maybe I just misunderstood. Someone please clear this up for me.

All of our plans are now compatible with gait phones. So either phone will work and you can have both on the plan as long as you let us know that one is a gait so we can put it in the system that way so you can reap the benefits of that.

Ok that's what I thought. I went by the store and the lady told me there that you can't put the GAIT phones and GSM phones on the same plans. That's where I got my bad information from. Can they do this for me by just calling customer service? I'm thinking about getting one of the phones on the website because it's free and in the store they charge you $80 for it.

Thanks

I was under the impression, that if you put a gait phone (TDMA/GSM) phone on a gait plan you get TDMA/GSM coverage. But if you put it on any shareable plan they are only GSM plans so you would not benifet from the TDMA coverage. As only Gait or multiband plans have that ability.

the newer GSM plans abre compatible with GAIT phones, so you would be able to use the TDMA towers fine.

I have my GAIT phone on a GSM plan and it uses TDMA quite a bit! 🙂
