ATT has the world's WORST customer service

attphonewhore

I'm not normally one to bitch and complain but this is out of hand. I tried calling att uverse regarding my account today and after going thru the voice automated system they transfer me to the att wireless department who obviously is unable to help with anything regarding my uverse account. Does anyone know a number that I can call about my uverse service where I can talk to a real person other then wireless customer service? Any advice would be appreciated.

Ok, so you are posting on a site devoted to wireless service about TV and internet service about how poor customer service is at ATT. Why don't you air your grievance on a forum that actually deals with uverse?

A quick google search turned up the following:

http://www.store.att.com/Catalog/CustomerService.asp ... »

I am not an ATT fanboy. I just hate lazy people more than I hate ATT.

att mobility and at&t are treated as 2 different companies. Especially when you are talking home products. You can't put them in the same generalized statement.

The people that stay around phone scoop are the ones who are wireless and understand how wireless works. Unfortunately you won't get much help with landline around here.

Listen up here you hatter player. at&t has got the sim card, they've got the nokia and they are here to stay. I'll give them credit for that, but when you start saying stuff that I don't bother to read... then we've got a problem. Maybe you should be happy that at&t has the best looking sim cards ever, they hold a lot, and they are color coordinated to look sweet. I'm a T-Mobile fanboy myself but you don't see me going around throwing a fit about T-Mobile. I love them because they are so cheap. I wish they had more towers.

That is all

The only thing I can gather from your post is that you weren't bright enough to get through to a uverse customer service rep, so you blamed at&t wireless. I don't have uverse, but I can tell you how to get there. Dial the number for uverse customer support (more then likely something to the effect of 1.800.288.2020) say you would like help with uverse, then if you can't navigate the ivr, press 0 until somebody answers. It's never failed for me. Learn how to accept when it's your fault, instead of placing blame.

1.) I called 18002882020
2.)The IVR asked which state I was calling from. Since I don't have uverse, I just picked a California and Nevada
3.) The IVR read my number back to me and asked if I was calling about that number.
4.) I said no.
5.) The IVR will ask you more questions, just push 0
6.) They will ask what you need assistance with. Say "uverse"
7.) they will ask what kind of support.
8.) I was routed to a uverse support representative.

Gimme you're number and I'll conference call them to get you through ;)

Well we are getting different systems then cuz mine never asks me for the state and when I keep pressing zero it tells me that department is closed and then transfers me to wireless customer service.

Normally I try not to insult anybody on here, or even question whether or not what they are saying is true. I'm sorry though, I just don't buy that they were having issues in your area with the automated system. It's okay that you weren't bright enough to get through to a customer service rep, then blamed all of at&t customer service. It's okay. Just try not to let it happen again 😉

I am sorry that you are trouble with getting through to U-verse's customer service. Here is a direct number that you can call. It is 888-320-2167. I hope that this will help.

1-800-288-2020 AND LISTEN. Say you are calling about U-Verse then listen to the prompts; It will route you if you listen and follow it properly.
