Mixed feelings

I have been coming to this website for quite a while, but have never posted. In recent weeks, I have noticed a lot of hostility from both employees & customers. Customers will always be asses... That is just the way it is. This is one thing that will NEVER change.

The employee hostility is what alarms me. I know that employee just want to convey the information they have. That want it to be accurate & to the point. But sometimes, they come off as extremely rude. I know that by saying this, I am sure to get a few responses similar to "If you don’t like the heat, stay out of the kitchen" or something even snappier.

Another thing is the constant arguing about: who is right, company policies, attwireless.com (yeah, I saw that nasty fight ...

Since this isn't affliated with Cingy, I think a lot of us blow off steam here from those customers that piss us off on daily basis that we aren't allowed to say squat to. At work, you just have to bite your cheek and let a lot of people "try" to walk all over you. If we come on here and see even a small similarity with someone who annoyed us we blow up on them. We do it because we can, not because we should.

On the ATT side of things, I know I feel personally slighted by them. Most have swapped over to a cingy phone and plan, but there are a few who have sunk their teeth in and wont let go of their ATT plans until the dead horse is long rotten. With cingy providing them with all of their ATT benefits, the bill gets passed on to cing...

Thanks troll, I have my opinions and they haven't changed because of what you said. I'm a jerk though, not an "a hole". I don't think cingy has any obligation to renew ATT plans, and I do hope at some point down the road (after a contract is expired) they terminate service. Once the contract is done, so is the obligation.

I take back the a hole comment my bad .I did say renew the contracts. Just except the fact you bought some super deals that came with at&t customers that are better than cingy when they go away they go away. Quit crying about it cingy didn't have to buy At&t. Let's all live together and treat each other well. I'm sure when my contract is up I'd probably stay with cingy if they weren't such jerks.

I think every cingy customer should feel slighted by them, and I don't think of them as family until they switch to cingy. As long as they keep their death grip on ATT service plans they might be the third cousins no one ever talks about, but they're not family in my book.

I know it doesn't make sense for you personally to change your plan now. I think the prices went up to counter the income loss from supporting the ATT side of service. If we don't cut out those losses the prices may not drop back down for a long time. I know you have to look at what you pay individually, but I'm dwelling on the entire community. Yes, prices will drop because of competition, but with an increase in the number of migrations prices may drop sooner. It's all "ifs", I know, but I'm bitter because I feel like the new customers are feeling the bite more because of it all.

You spending $25 more a month wouldn't be the right thing right now. If we knew that everyone doing so would lower the rate plans, then I would say it wo...

But the fact of the matter remains... you hold ill will towards ATTWS customers. I was trying to explain my point by giving you my reason of not migrating... Did you ever think that maybe many of the ATTWS customers dont want to switch because they get a better deal from Blue? So you are being a blue hater for nothing.

It's not for nothing, I'm bitter because I believe it's these customers that are hurting our new customers. That's a valid reason. I do care more about people that come in wanting to join Cingular than I do about ATT customers. I don't think that's wrong either. Their money may be going to Cingy now, but if it was enough the price plans wouldn't have changed as much.

I know many blue customers don't want to give up their price plans, but we never offered them the plan to begin with. Cingy itself treats blue customers differently, and that service will likely get worse and worse. From what I've read here Blue customers can't access their accounts online anymore. I'm really curious as to what other services will be ended on April 1...

You know what. For a while I would have agreed with this post. I know that recently we have ALL been working on that. We realized a while ago that it was getting out of hand and if you can see that bad I wish you could see the good too. If you can't then, like we have done in the past, you are judging us by what other people have said and done. And thats just as bad as the fights and arguments we have gotten into in the past.

Thank about that statement. Apply it to your post hun. Yes I know Jackie does her best to try and help people. As do I. But like you seaid you need to keep in mind with the good comes the bad and there isnt anything we can do but try our best to help those who need it and keep them from getting incorrect info.

I am keeping the good w/ bad in mind. The original title of this thread is "Mixed Feelings". Also I did say "I dont know what to think". Really... I do not know what to think about Cingular at this point in time. I am just hoping that one day, I will be enlightened by this forum & come to realize that I was silly for ever...

I apologize if you are questioning our company because of us. Our intention is not as it seems to be.

I like my job, I know others do as well. I come on here to try and help as much as I can.

I also understand how us arguing would put you ill at ease. But most of us do have good intentions and want to help as much as we can. We just get carried away sometimes.

And yes we do vent. Which doesnt look good but its better to do it on here than to a customer.

"The wireless industry can be really harsh & nasty sometimes"? 😳 Oh where to start my young apprentice. Think of the wireless industry as a microsm of the real world (without the terrorism, beheadings, carbombings, husbands killing their pregnant wives, crazed dictators, etc) oh wait 😳 The wireless world doesn't sound so bad afterall!! Burn the colored shirts, put down the Hobbit Leaf and cut your hair hippie πŸ˜›

Hello 😁
I understand where you're coming from. And I respect your point of view as well as agreeing with you on a few points. I would like to share my observation. I'm a Cingular customer, however my job is customer service based for a fortune "10" company so I've been on both sides of the spectrum. The way I handle the stress is that I try to look at the positive side no matter how small and believe me it helps a great deal. You need to understand internet forums are two fold. Way to relieve stress and way to get information. The reps that post here are a small number compared to the total number of reps and and employees that work for Cingular. The small but close group have adopted this forum as way to vent out their frustration...
