OMG!!!
I just had a customer come in and expect to be able to add an additional line to his service plan without paying ANYTHING! I mean he expected to not pay for the phone, activation, OR monthly service charges. His reasons were "I've been a loyal customer for 2 years and I don't think you should penalize me for giving you another customer." So you expect FREE service??? I'm an agent, I sell the damn things and I don't even get free service!!! So his reply is "well I guess I'll just have to go somewhere else then." I then had to go into a lengthy explanation about how EVERY carrier makes you pay a service charge for each line per month (which wasn't easy considering I have laryngitis at the momen...

The scary part is that i hear every day, 1 call every day.nothing shocks me anymore.
Maybe my throat's just gettin to me and I imagined it all....wish my relief would get here so I can go home and stop having to talk to EVERYONE that comes in.

Now how on earth can this guy justify bringing in a new customer when a new customer technically refers to someone who has paid for a service to the company? Some people are just crazy.
How could this guy actually CALL it bringing in another customer if he's adding a line to his EXISTING plan? FamilyTalk lines are billed as one customer.
When did it become acceptable and commonplace, to reward people for things that they SHOULD be doing on a normal basis like the rest(small % it seems now) of society?

That's like hearing someone defend themselves by saying "I TAKE CARE OF MY KIDS!!!" Well what the hell else are you going to do? You're SUPPOSED to take care of them...just like you're SUPPOSED to pay your bill. If ya want service that is.
Though I've gotten used to the concept of having to address it, it honestly makes me sad.
