Used phone has 90 days and new has 12 months. This was my understanding when working with AT&T Wireless.
...
no, not really. used phones have the same warranty... its a manufacturer's warranty. my question is, are they BOTH covered.
...
They should be... If you call XBM 1(800)801-1101 they can tell you by the serial number on the back of the phone (imei number). But it should be because the 6620 has been on the market for less than a year so the likelihood of it not being covered is slim. 🙂

Sorry, I was thinking about Warrenty Exchange. I believe if the phone came from Warrenty Exchange then it had like 90 days coverage under Warrenty or whatever was left from 12 months.
...
which ever imei is attached to your acct on cingular is covered by cingular warranty. other than that the manufacturer can cover it with copy of invoice
...
whatsup with the different answers? what is the TRUE answer, i would like to know...
...
Here is the true answer...it doesn't matter what IMEI is on the account unless it is a warranty exchange on Cingular's behalf. The warranty is honored by the manufacturer, not the carrier. So regardless of what Cingular's records show, if you can produce proof of original ownership that falls within the warranty period, the manufacturer WILL honor the warranty.

Well I dont have the receipt but im sure cinguar has record of me buying on their system, plus they can see the warranty exchanges i've done already with this phone too. this would be the 4th time, and the 1st time i accidentally sent my memory card with my phone...
...
whew! i found the receipt... so im good. thanks all your help.

XBM will cover what is on your accout. But the manufacturers warranty would cover the one that is not, O 🙂
