Blackberry 7100g

Do you guys have a lot of people who have problems with these phones? I'm eligible to upgrade in about a week and a half and was thinking about going with the Blackberry 7100g but wanted to see what kind of calls you guys were getting regarding them before I spent all of the money.

Also, this is not a gripe but I am probably going to end up buying it online because it's 249 with a 50 dollar rebate whereas the store I went to last night said 549 with a 100 dollar rebate.

I'm going from a Siemens S56 which I only got because it was the only Bluetooth phone available at the time.

So my second question is this. My rate plan is entirely up on May 7th, but I can renew on April 7th. If the 50 MIR is up at the end of March, does it do me...

I would wait, the rebate is going to be extended at the same price. Be careful, a lot of people experience some problems when they try to upgrade on line. The price at our store is $249 after a rebate, so depending on your market that price might apply to you at a two year agreement.
As for the phone, so far very good replies for the customers that bought the phone. We received 10 on Thursday and have zero in stiock at the moment. The "Smart Type" works like a dream. Hope this helps.

Awesome. I was hoping that the rebate was extended.

Do you happen to know if RIM warranties their phone for only one year? Trying to figure out if I should buy insurance for it because I'm accident prone...

I wonder why the store on the corner said 549 with the 100 rebate though. Oh well. Don't even want to get into that argument.

I sympathize with the CSRs who complain about the computer system because it took this guy about 15 minutes to find the price for the phone while I shuffled from foot to foot. 😉

No insurance ☚ī¸ RIM devices can not get insurance as of right now... As for the warranty I would be pretty sure that it would come with a warranty, presumably a year.

Yeah, I'm out of the Atlanta market. So we have a very good turnover rate when it comes to data devices. So much that Palm is sending us to Treo School starting tomorrow.
But, I do like the new Blackberry. Any person interested could contact RIM to see how long that place a warranty on their devices. Insurance can always be placed on PDA devices through third-party agencies like safeware or asurion. You might can even place it on homeowner's insurance.
