In all seriousness, here is the answer to your question. The upgrade is based upon the rate plan and revenue that your number generates on a monthly basis. Usually, if your rate plan is larger than $75 per month and you have gon the last 6 months without any suspensions, you are eligible after 12 months. If your rate plan is less than $75, then it is usually 20 or 21 months. Now this is based usually just on rate plan, not features. So if your plan is $59.99 per month and you have the $20 unlimited messaging plan, the upgrade date is 20 months, even though you are spending $79.99 per month.

I am pretty sure (read not 100%) the features like messaging and internet packages count towards the MRC which is what determines the upgrade date.

My line is 40 + 35 = 75 and I was eligible at the 18 month mark.

It is possible that is true. However, if ATT really counted it as the $75 MRC, you should have been eligible at the end of 12 months.

You must spend $99+ MRC (including features) to be eligible after 12 months.
