Depending on what phone you are using, the mp3 file may be protected, meaning that you cannot send it. For example, using a Motorola v551, for some reason, any mp3's or pix downloaded to the phone is copy protected, meaning that the phone will not let you send them or modify the files. This may not be your case, but it's the only explanation that I can think of. I wish I could be of more help. 🙂

Perhaps you was referring to CellNerd who can't send a CLIP, not a full mp3, via MMS and downloaded ringtones are locked and therefore unable to forward to anyone or anything. However, if it was downloaded from Cingular's site, it would be more than a 5 second clip, so I would guess and say no it isn't locked..

I did not download it from Cingular, nor is it locked. Just trying to send a 5 second mp3 file that I made. And I checked the sofware to make sure they didnt lock it, and its confirmed.
