Can a CSR confirm this?

I live at the zipcode 24060 and till today, Cingular.com coverage check showed up as no coverage on my area. Today, I tried it again and it doesn't say no coverage but rather "Washington D.C./Baltimore" although I live in Southwest Virginia, down at Blacksburg (home of the Virginia Tech Hokies!). Can a CSR confirm if you have coverage here or not?

P.S. also, any new phones coming to Cingular within a few weeks? Thanks!

I believe you might be part of the SunCom deal.

i did a MTI scan of your area, which shows no coverage but it is weird because thier is a store located in that area, it might be because of the suncom/merger deal. your best bet would be to call the location below and talk to a sales rep. who knows the area better than a computer.

That is correct. The entire state of Virginia can now get Cingular as a result of the Suncom deal. I live on the other side of Virginia(Portsmouth) and had the very same thing happen to me. All of the old Suncom stores have become Cingular stores. If Suncom got a good signal in Southwestern Virginia, you should be able to get the same type signal with Cingular.
