Motorola's 3G handset for Cingular?
With the new 3G network coming in the fourth quarter this year according to previous news reports...one of the three manufacturers to first provide 3G phones is Motorola.
Considering how popular the Motorola v551 has been as a debut by Cingular, why not wonder what Motorola has coming to Cingular for 3G?

There is the Motorola V1150 3G handset at CeBIT 2005, and a design very similar to the RAZR V3 considering the thin design. Does anyone know if the V1150 is the model that Cingular will carry as one of the first 3G phones from Motorola?

If anyone has more info on this or any other 3G phones coming to Cingular later in the year, pls post your comments. Thanks.

You know, seeing as how I am a TDMA rep (and how I don't care about wireless technology and really don't know any more than I have to to do my job) I really don't understand what 3G is. Is the current GSM network in the US not 3G? Is it 2.5G? And if so, what's the difference? All I know is, when I transfer a customer to another department, the internal menu lets me choose between 2G sites and 3G sites. So I assumed TDMA was 2G and GSM was 3G. Were the programmer of the IVR being loose with their definition of 3G?
Sorry if I just bored everyone.

GSM is actually 2G, GPRS 2.5G and EDGE is 2.75G
