New Forum Name: Customer Bashing

CelluNerd

I think you guys should chill with the customer bashing. This will eventually avert them from coming here and becoming cingular customers. I know I wouldnt want to be a customer after coming here...

I do agree that we should not bash customers. However, some calls defy logic to the point where we must share these delightful (or frustrating) experiences with our fellow reps. 9 times out of 10, the customers being talked about are less than likely the ones who visit this forum. I will never speak ill of a customer, but I will make light of the particular situation. 😁

See, that's fine, there are some people in here that get too carried away, and I don't think thats the point of this forum.

Where do you suggest we do our bashing? Stupid people need to be told they're stupid.

like the one i just had, they got kb usage, shows downloads of ringtones, a blackjack and solitaire demo, and then customer states my son doesn't do that stuff, you guys just put those charges on my bill to make money- I was like "yes sir, we gotta make that $41 billion back somehow 😈 😈 😈 "

Then i said sir grab his phone, showed him where to look he found them on the phone, then claimed that we just did it now, to make his son a liar- sure allrghty then!

🙄

Interesting that people refuse to believe that their kids can possibly lie to them. I know when I was a kid, if I'd downloaded some stuff and my folks were mad over the bill, I'd deny everything to keep from getting my a$$ beat. Then again, MY folks would in turn call the company, confirm the charges then beat my a$$ anyway. None of this "my kid is an absolute angel" BS.

I remember my parents being peeved that I downloaded on demand porn when it first became available. Wait. Did I just say that out loud?

haha...yeah, my little brother just got busted for the same thing, except his was a binge-downloading session...thats what happens when 12-17 year olds figure out the joys of GPRS connectivity...my little brother racked up a whopping $260 in ringtones/graphics/games within a 3 day span...needless to say, I'm an only child now ;)

I've read these alleged "customer bashing" posts you're on about, and it's nothing of the sort. We go on about egregious examples of stupidity, cupidity and those who need anger management, but we don't say one unkind word about the vast majority of our customers. We merely hold up a mirror for some of the worst behavior our customers exhibit, and if it makes someone uncomfortable perhaps they are finding a resemblance to themselves and don't like seeing how they and their behavior is perceive...

I agree 100%! However, you have to look at it from the point of view of the anti-posters. They see anti-customer rhetoric of any kind or whatever the posts are and feel abhorred. They are completely shocked that a CSR or counter sales person can even think of making posts like this. Your position (in wireless) is sacred! You are revered! You are graced with people asking you stupid questions. We're doing you a favor by calling cust svc... No, your costing your wireless provider so much $$ per minute for a question that can be solved by reading the phone's owner manual or your contract.

Ehhhhhhhhh...I'll take King over Koontz and Barker. I see them both as kind of "hackish". No offense intended of course, we all have our wrong opinions. 😉

I'd nominate King as the modern day equivalent of Mark Twain--Koontz absolutely IS a hack, but Barker has his moments and has a turn of phrase for the morbid and appallingly biologically disgusting that is unmatched in recent literature. Besides, without Clive there would be no Pinhead, and that would be a tragedy!

Pinheads don't bother me. Freaky ass SpaceClowns that grab you from a storm drain while you're chasing down your little sailboat in a rainstorm bother me. Greatly.

That is the great thing here. How many customers can be lost because of this forum??? I would guess not alot to make a difference. If you are an employee, and don't like what is being written for the sake of the "reputation", then don't post anything in that subject. You know that you do your job, and that is what matters. I know that my customer like me because I work for them, and I show it. I don't like austin's way of doing things, but I could care less. I expressed my opinion, and that was it. He knows exactly what he is doing.
