s710a and EDGE Questions...
Quick couple of questions...
I just bought a SE s710a off of eBay and when I receive it can I just pop in my SIM card and I'm good to go or do i have to call Cingular let them know before it can work?
Also, is EDGE available wherever there's Cingular coverage? I looked for a map on cingular.com but I must have been overlooking it. Can any of you reps let me know if EDGE is available in zip 24501 if its not wherever Cingular coverage is?

there is EDGE everywhere that cingular is, and yes you can just pop your SIM card in the phone and go

Well if you bought it off ebay... Whas it a Cingular Sony Erricson or was it unlocked when you bought it? If its not unlocked or not Sony you will not be able to use that phone with a Cingular SIM Card. And Yes Edge is offered in almost every market now.

You should be able to pop your SIM in and go... As for the "branding" the S710a is a Cingular exclusive right now, so I don't think there would be a problem with that.. The only thing that you would want to keep in mind is that if you want insurance or anything on it you will want to go to a local store or call customer service with your IMEI change. 🙂 Hope this helps!
