I saw it last night when I was in Corinth. Cell South has a better network then AT&T in MS, but in North MS Verizon has recently taken over in the past week. Verizon added 15 cell sites in Northeast MS. Its solid and I had service in very rural areas and it was even 3G.

i live in south ms, nobody has 3g out here unless you are on the coast or head up to close to hattiesburg. cell south does have better coverage but lacks pretty much everything else, verizon hasnt been that great down here since they bought alltel and att has added 34 cell sites in south ms recently so its getting close to cell souths coverage out here.

Verizon has Rev A on the Coast. They had it before buying Alltel. All along I-10 Biloxi, Gulfport etc...

thats what i said, no carrier has high speed data till you reach the coast or go farther up north

Sorry. I just re-read your post. So you are between the coast and Hattiesburg? Lucedale? Leakesville? Yeah, I see your dilemma. I would expect Cell South to get to you with EV-Do before Verizon.

no problem but yes i live in picayune,MS. i had alltel at one point and it was alright but switched to at&t before verizon bought them. some friends who have verizon/alltel have said the coverage if anything has gotten a little worse, maybe tower work? idk. the closest 3g with to us is 15 minutes away in slidell,LA.

Verizon is about to turn on some new cell towers in Southest MS. Verizon had to upgrade some Alltel towers and took them offline to do it. That is where the problems are from. Verizon just finshed North MS and Northest MS network, and it has improved to be the best now. The whole North part of MS has 3G. It's very strong too. South MS will be too when the centennial thing is done.
