Basically, because of the advanced capabilities and customization, yes. Palms tech support is the definitely the best route to go. Are you having this with the Treo 600 and 650's specifically? or a previous model?

600 and 650. Someone called in about ringtones today and I was told we don't support it send them to Handspring. The only thing that told me what he did we didnt support without asking was he said something about hot synching and I know we don't support that. But he insisted Handspring's website said it was our responsibility so I asked anyway. But every other issue has been the same, send them to Handspring.

There is a program that they can get for the 650, download it from their site for ringtones, otherwise he can use MP3's or the preloaded tones! 🙂 AND How are you feeling? Any better?

Well your partially right.( I own a treo and absolutely love it!!!) Hardware issues DO go back to Handspring. Software issues on the PDA go to PALM ONE and service issues go to Cingular. It's like contacting your ISP for a computer problem. Dells go back to Dells, Apples go back to Apples. etc. Get the drift?
