which has better voice coverage other than data? for those who have verizon or att phones when you look at your phone i noticed on att the signal goes up and down even without moving from one spot. does the same thing happen on verizon phones? in other words does att phones hold on to network signal better or does verizon have a more steady signal in most areas? i want to order cell service but i am stuck between these two? att and verizon has nice touch screen phones the only thing is you have to get a data plan to get those phones. would you get the data plan even though you may not want it just to get the better touch screen phones?

Signal indicators on phones from both carriers will vary. As for holding onto a signal that depends somewhat on the phone itself. VZW obviously has more coverage in the US but depending on where you'll be primarily using your phone you may not notice a difference if you go with ATT.

It really depends upon where you live. In Florida, AT&T really can't be beat in my experience. But where I live, Verizon rules the roost (by a long shot).
