My old pantech duo died.. Can't be charged anymore ☹️ poor thing. Well, it's time to move on and i don't want to wait for my plan to expire to upgrade, and i'd rather not buy another duo. So, will it work to go ahead and Buy a att bold 9700 (the phone i'd like to buy) off amazon the just swap my old sim into the new phone? The plan for the duo is unlimited txt/data, so i'd doubt it'd limit the bold's capabilities.

Yes. That will work as long as the Bold is either for AT&T or unlocked. As far as the internet goes, once your sim is in the Bold, the system will recognize you are using a Blackberry and it will add the Blackberry data package.
