Cingular lands highest number of 2004 consumer complaints, says CU

Consumers Union said Monday that customers considering a switch in wireless carriers should first consider Verizon Wireless and not consider Cingular Wireless L.L.C., due to the number of complaints the Federal Communications Commission received-288.9 Cingular complaints per 1 million subscribers.
"If you're considering a change of wireless carrier, you may want to look first to Verizon. It had the lowest number of complaints per customer among national carriers, and among all the carriers, relatively few complaints about service quality and billing," said Consumers Union.

I don't see how that's a big deal though, they combined AWE and Cingys numbers when Cingy only owned AWE for a month and a half. Everyone should also remember AWE's porting difficulties and not be surprised by this at all.

Its weird though becasue before I started working for Cingular I worked for Nextel Customer Care and man I thought we had the lowest ranking customer care because people hated our company. But I guess that is not the case.
