Changing phone number
I am inquring, does anyone know if you have to wait 60 days before changing your phone number? (of course, a $36 fee) And would you still have to wait if you were porting a number into an existing at&t account..and would the fee still apply on a port in?

If you are using Postpaid service (Contract with monthly bill) You do not need to wait 60 days to change your phone number. This is especially true when porting in a number. We do this all of the time with no problem. Yes, the $36 fee usually will apply, but you should have no trouble changing the number before 60 days goes by.

Ok...question. I have a primary and secondary line with ATT. I would like to port the primary NUMBER to Tmo and get a new PRIMARY NUMBER with ATT. Can that happen?

I am not aware of any way to do that. When you port your number it kills your contract. I am not 100 percent sure on this so stay tuned for future posts cause if I am wrong I am sure someone will chime in...

THX! ...staying tuned. Now about killing my contract are you referring only to the primary line? I was told that I could keep the second line.

Yea each phone number has its own contract so the secondary line would be fine.

correct. porting out breaks the contract so you would have an ETF....better to get a new number with Tmo.
