I love Cingular but....

There's this road when I'm about to get to my house where I always have problems. This is what happens: I drive down this road and while I'm on the phone I reach a point when I lose the person on the other end (call doesn't drop though) I look at my phone and the counter keeps going, so about 5 or 6 seconds later I can hear the other end for a bit, I lose it for another 2 or 3 seconds and I get them again. Now here's where the problem comes in, sometimes after I get over all this drama I can hear the people on the other end, but they can't hear me. Other times the call keeps going just fine after I go thru that area. My question is. Why does this happen? Is it that I go thru an area where the hand off is poor? or is it that maybe the transit...

Yes I think that's pretty close to what happens, because this occurs on the road I live on as well, Do your signal bars drop to one or zero when this happens?

Yes, and then all of I sudden I have all the bars and I can hear the other end.

Yeah sounds like trouble with transferring towers, BTW is your phone a motorolla, because I've had more issues with that happening since I got the V220
...

I have a Moto V551. It rarely drops calls thou. I can carry a conversation with no bars whatsoever....

Yeah Same here, the only time I drop calls is when some hangs up because the signal gets bad.

I have a 6620 and for about a mile on the road i drive home from work on it happens to me also. Its a very hilly road though.

Thanks, but really there's no need to. Ive looked my area on the Map tool and this are where Im having the problem is shown as a High to Medium area. ¿?
