just unlocked the a630...
i bought it for my gf for her bday, i was a bit worried about getting signal since its a tmob phone and we use cingular... but it works great. she hasnt had a dropped call yet we even travelled to california and everywhere i had signal with my v551 she had signal also. great phone, i might pick one up myself.

Well good for you. You know, us reps are supposed to tell you its impossible to use a T-Mobile phone with cingular, but really, we can. We just like lying to customers.

yeah, most of the west coast is 1900 mhz, so you should be good to go out that way 😎
