Need some Help with Razr Phone
I just signed up with Cingular 2 days ago and got a Razr phone. The phone came unlocked and is not branded as Cingular.
Everything works fine except the screen says I'm using AT&T Wireless and the roaming indicator shows up on the display. My area has been fully converted to Cingular. My friend has a V551 that he got from Cingular and he hasn't see the phone change to any other carrier.
I contacted the store and they told me not to worry about it. It seems as though something is definitely wrong with the phone.
Cingular support didn't have any idea.
Anyone know about this? Thanks.

It sounds like you just using a old ATTWS tower. I know that they are in the process of getting ALL towers of ATTWS to say Cingular, but there are thousands they have to do this too. When it says ATTWS on the screen of your phone...iuts ok, your NOT roaming (granted your on a National plan) Eventually, in that same area, it WILL say Cingular on the phone..No worries!

well i had the same issue, i bought my mom a D500 here in nor cal and got it activated on tmobile, now my Tmobile UNLOCKED V800 says t mobile on it but hers only said cingular, even when i tried to force the phone onto another network, still said cingular, t mobile wasnt even an option, it was wierd, it had a tmobile sim and all that, well i shipped the phone to her in CO and then it said t mobile, so your phone is just picking up an ATT tower, if you really want to use a cingular tower why not just force the phone onto a cingular tower?

lol..thats what ya get for going with Tmobile...that means they dont have ANY towers in the area. ATTWs was forced to sell its towers to Tmobile...that may be the reason why

hey dumbass....its not they did it to be nice......they had to much of a monopoly. Big brother made them sell the toswer. Tmobiles coverage looks like somebody sneezed on tyhe map and said "heres your coverage"

lol....I always liked Nokias.......before I went to SAVE team, the few Ornage cust that had that phone said its reception sucks bad......but same time, had a few say they love it. I dchoose the V551 over it still...way over priced

Unfortunately I AM at work right now only my booty is back home đ , though I'd rather be in a cabin on the Rocky Mountains, and as must have read v551 is BETTER than RZR and cheaper đ
