Incoming Text Messages Cost Money!?

Only after receiving my bill, did I discover that I was being charged for incoming messages to my phone! While the cost per message is only .10, I think Cingular is being a little "slick" and getting customers to pay for something else, without them knowing! I do admit, that it is my fault for not asking the rep, before purchasing a plan, but it's not something I would have thought to ask, being that with ATT I was never charged for incoming messages!

Sorry 😕 Cingular isn't ATT. I think that some of the things that ATT did were great and some were just plain bad business

It is actually listed on the brochure. Also whomever sold you the phone should have forewarned you, whether you asked or not. Sorry for the inconvenience. ☚ī¸

The one way that I have always told people to think of things on cell phone is everything is like the minutes... You make a call- you receive a call it minutes, right? Same thing applies to text messages, or multimedia messages. Just as a rule of thumb.

It makes sense...I remember when I first purchased my phone when SWBell switched to Cingular...a friend sent a text message from the cingular website...I was billed for receiving the message...

No big deal, I wonder if it says it on the website text message sender...
