Dissatisfied iPhone users tick me off with their complaining.
So wait a minute, you hate AT&T but you are going to stay with them for a few more years? And by the way, there is ZERO confirmation that Verizon is even going to get the iPhone, it's all rumors at this point.
It's like this: People aren't willing to part with the iPhone because they are so drunk on it's koolaid, yet when they can't make calls, receive calls, or get voicemails, they moan like children about it.
Here's a reality check: either you suck it up and cancel your plan with AT&T and move on to anot...

Get a droid, pre or any other phone that has the ability to install something like MyWi -
(App available for jailbroken iphones that turn it into a wireless hotspot).
And then get an iTouch...
Pay the same per month, get better reception AND be yet another sheeple with an iDevice.
Disclaimer: I have an iPhone and have no issue with reception. I rarely drop calls and only occasionally get some kind of wierd echo in the line where i can hear my annoying self. Although... I guess that would be bad reception: receiving my own voice...
I'm also not saying to get an iPhone + iTouch.. I'm saying get a phone with similar capabilities if you really want an iTouch on...

1. I live in south dakota, no att service at all.
2. Have an Itouch already
3.Not considering the iphone in anyway(it just seems apealing at a distance), happy with verizon at the moment but i HATE full touch screen phones (no faith in my ability to not break them) and the droid is ugly and dude-like. Another downfall is im a tiny tiny girl, but i cannot do the small keys on the palm phones or blackberrys(nails). hense why im trapped at the EnV-touch. nice phone. but eh. Id like a smartphone at some point.
Any suggestions on what i should look out for now that we are on this subject?
I was more pointing out the fact that with alot of smart phones you can install apps like MyWi that turns your phone into a Wifi Hotspot.
I know there are apps out for:
WebOS http://mytether.net/
WindowsMobile http://support.wmwifirouter.com/devices/
iPhone http://www.rockyourphone.com/index.php/mywi.h tml
I've found USB Tethering apps for Android and BB (PDA Net), but neither enable Wifi Tethering, so they won't work with an iTouch... in my limited searching that is.
I've also noticed alot of apps won't work on Verizon phones due to restrictions.
For those situations, there are devices that use USB tethering to supply a physical portable router. Example:
http...

Maybe when better phones come out ill think about getting something a little more advanced. Keep me updated!
1. I work for an indirect agent, that ATT, in all it's wisdom, has determined that indirects cannot carry the phone. But that does not stop iphone people from coming in and complaining. All I can tell them is "Sorry" and send them to Apple.
2. I carry a Blackberry 9000 Bold. When I first got the phone, it constanly dropped calls and was always switching back and forth from 3G to Edge, the same type of complaints that we hear from iPhone customers all the time. Then a RIM sent out a software update for the Bold, and amazingly, all the problems dissapeared. I very seldom drop a call and when I am in a 3G area, it stays in 3G. It wasn't the network, it was the phone. The dif...

Or would that cause time space malfunction?
...
With that being said... I agree that people should shut up or gtfo. I like the iPhone but not enough to put up with bad service.
Also my next phone will either be a 7 or an Android, depending on what's hot when my upgrade is available.
Apple is quickly approaching 'meh' status. Soo many people thinking differently - its getting a bit too crowded.
