64k sim

can someone tell me why a 64k sim will not work on a V400 for Cingular that was bought before the merger. If it will sorry for asking I was told on here that you had to have a post merger phone for it to work.

We were told in training they are not compatible...but Im not sure if thats true. I would say ask a store rep who deals with it everyday they would have more knowledge on this they may have tried it.

Faster and more memory? Lol I have no idea. My call center was ATTWS and we still have our ATT phones. So we don't have anything to judge that on. We were told they would be faster and have more memory when we went through training.

theyre a little faster, and having 64k sims allows cingular techs to load balance you to either side, basically just a little upgrade to the 32k sims, they have the updated IRDB's, but other than that, no big difference
...
