Cingular is currently leaving Cingluar in the dust. Bottom line, we have more customers, we are the new #1. Verizon had it, and didn't keep it up. That shows me that they are lacking somewhere. Yes, you are the new number 1! How long will Cingular stay there? Verizon had it since April of 2000 and it Cingular couldn't add customers so they bought ATT for 41 Billion to get ahead.
I wonder what would happen if Verizon bought a small Tier 2 carrier like Alltel. Oh that's right they would be back at number 1 and wouldn't spend 41 billion dollars to get there.

Somehow I don't think that I am looking for anyone to love in this site. I am just looking for people that have knowledge andopinions on cellular related issues.
I have the current state mandated licensing that was implemented in Illionois this year by the Governor and it sucked. We had to pay to take a class and pay to take a test to get liscensed in Illinois to be a loan officer which we didn't prior to this year. I guess the state is getting rid of all of the Convicts like you Froggy and making sure that people with criminal records and Ill intentions are not allowed to practice.

Cingular is without question raising the bar. The best digital service in the country, clear calls, great phones, and the latest technology is a great start alone...but with the outstanding 50 million customers, it makes the reality of a true wireless world a dream come true.

There's no way there was an outage here. It was a problem with my phone, along with many other's phones. At least, that's what Cingular told me when I called to see what was going on.

For the love of....people, it's a cellular service! How many people truly know how many components make up a network? It's insane! Things will break every now and then that's to be expected. It's suceptible to things such as weather, terrain, man made structures, "bloopers", etc, and is always subject to unavailibility. Even says so in every carriers terms and conditions.
Granted it must have been a big outage to have a news story on it but "outages" happen every day and are fixed relitively quickly. That's with anyone. Keep on truckin.

I haven't answered it because I have no interest in Bluetooth and don't care. Do I think Verizon is being greedy with the crippling of Bluetooth? Sure, it reminds me of when companies used to make electronic devices that only their headset would work on.
I wish Verizon had a legitimate reason for doing what they did with the bluetooth devices and I have a V710 on the way so I might learn more. I wish Verizon and the rest of the U.S. carriers would adopt CDMA Sim Card technology so that I could do more with multiple devices.
Where I live VZW and US Cell are the best carriers and so I support the company that goves me the service I need. I have used VZW from Hawaii to New York City and they have done me right.
