a few months ago i had a thread that asked if people thought android was the future of phones. a lot of people said no, most in fact, just wondering if anybody has changed their minds. I've never owned an android phone, but i'm thinking about trying one out.

If you're not already zombified into iPhone OS, and you need a smartphone, you should try one out. I recommend trying one that doesn't have MotoBlur. Stock Android and Sense UI from HTC seem to be much less problematic, especially on battery life.

I bet most of those who said "no" were most likely fanboi's of other platforms... blackberry, winmo, *cough* iphone *cough*...

Android will most likely be my next phone, although Palm or Win7 might be as well depending on how the year turns out and options available when I switch.

Alot depends on when you upgrade and what phones are out at that time.

Right now, if you are going for "upgrade" from AT&T - it's going to be a Backflip. Personally, that option leaves me wanting more. There are alot of complaints about the way it's customized, strictly from an Android perspective. (Lack of google and android market)

The Nexus One - despite a rocky start - has gotten good reviews as far as I've seen. It's not available for discount on A...
