phone with complete address book
I travel a lot and live in a rural area. Currently have Samsung Sync that is on its last leg and soon will need to get new phone. I don't need a smart phone or phone with internet access, but do need one with good reception, voice quality and complete address book with room for home address, birthday, etc. The AT&T rep said there were only 2 without data plan he would recommend. They were Samsung A777 and Nokia Mural. However, they both have poor user reviews. Anyone else know of any other options. (I don't want to buy a separate PDA just for addresses. It is that bad. If you can avoid it, don't waste your time. Some might disagree with me but personally in my store I've seen bad results. What you're looking for is going to be difficult to find because the best address book phones are of course Blackberries and other smartphones. To avoid the adding of a data package or a messaging package you need a flip or slide phone without a keyboard. I do not know if it has the address book you need but check out the Motorola Tundra, as far as your other qualifications, it's top notch.

Most any phone can have a COMPLETE address book....just matters where you elect to store the information. If you select SIM, you get the convenience of moving it from device to device easily....BUT you've got a limit of one phone number per contact.
If you select PHONE, or if you copy the contacts to PHONE memory, you can store up to 5 numbers on each contact and its a more COMPLETE address book. (even on your SYNC).

The Nokia Mural and the Samsung SGH A777 both have phone book feature, but unfortunately are not rated well.
I tried the Nokia Mural today. Got a good signal, and voice quality was ok, but could not hear the phone ring when it was only a few feet away from me. It was set as high as it would go. That was not good. I have to be able to hear the phone ring. So, it will be going back...
