Can Someone Please Explain To Me...
How Aol Instant Messenger gets billed to me? Ive had different reps tell me that it takes out of your text messages and others tell me its internet usage. Which one is it? When Im logged on I have the little world icon at the top (SE s710a) so Im assuming its because it is connected through the internet. I have a pay-as-you-go internet deal so am I paying while Im logged on AND its taking of my text message package? Someone please explain to me... đŗ

Instant messages are text messages, but in order to be on the AIM network you need to be logged into the internet, however you do not incur kb charges while using it... I know it's confusing and I wish I could explain it easier but I can't unfortunately. âšī¸

No actually you just explained it 5o gagillion times easier then the stupid rep just told me. She told me that AOL charges like 1 cent per kb while being on it AND per text message. What you just said makes perfect sense so thank you.

The reason you don't get charged per kb while using AIM is because there is no transferring of data.

Also the rep Im on the phone with now just told me that the @19.99 data package (1000 txt. Unlimited MMS, 3MB of Internet) is not working properly so they switched me to individual packages because they said it would fix my internet. But its still not working. Can someone please explain to me if this is true and why I cant get on the internet? I have the gprs blue triange with 4-5 bars of service.

Are your settings right?

Yeah i called last week about 6 times to get my settings right and they finally got them and everything was good until a couple days ago. The rep told me its because I came from SunCom and they are having problems with them but no one told me that before. But she did give a $10 credit for not being able to use it so that was good.

Why don't you PM with your number and I can see if I can access it and help you with what's going on. đ
