If you're referring to poutine, than it's actually french fries with gravy and cheese curds, although, most people prefer mozzarella. Don't knock it til you've tried it. Make yourself a batch of fries, beef gravy and throw a bit of grated mozarella cheese on there ... it settles like a brick in your stomach, has about 780 grams of fat, but oh my god, it's delicious. Made some for my wife, who is from Tennessee, she and now her family loves it.

Well, Canadian culture is a mixed bag, like US culture. My wife is from Tennessee, and I would venture a guess that the culture of the Smokey Mountains is different than what you might encounter in the Bronx. Canadian made movies about Canada can be tough to find in the USA, especially ones that aren't inundated with stereotypes. The best I can say is, if you want to watch one thing that best captures the fibre of Canadian life, watch Hockey Night In Canada. lol
