i'm using the 6630 and i just switched to cingular and i keep losing network. and sometimes i have to search for it to come back.
also when i switch sim cards, say from t-mobile to cingualr, when i put the cingular one in, the first thing it asks me is "allow sim card to send message" whys it sending messages?

It might be that the phone is using a 64K SIM and it is a non-ENS phone. I know my older 6230 does that from time to time, where it comes up "Waiting" when trying to go in my phone book and such. The other issues you may be having is there is no 850 band in the phone and depending on where you are that is leaving the 1900 only, which in many areas it is kind of lacking.

Yours 6630 is 900/1800/1900, and Cingular is using 850/1900. So whenever you are in 850-tower area your phone does not "see" the network. T-mobile on the contrary use 900 instead of 850, so you should be fine with T-mobile all the time.

T-Mobile uses 1900, not 900... But yeah same idea, it would be good all the time with them. âšī¸ I like that phone!

It's a shame Nokia does not make quadbands âšī¸
Now I have to by either Moto that I don't like much or two Nokias (one for Cingular and one for Europe) that I can't affort âšī¸

I have a Nokia 6630 and I am using it with Cingular without any problems. It even worked with Cingulars GSM network went down accoss the NW đ It could be a SIM card thing since my sim card is from Cingular.
