Phone availability and price drop

storm99

I've noticed the Nokia 6230 is no longer listed on Cingular's web site. Has this phone been discontinued. If so, is there another replacement by Nokia for this model coming any time soon?

Also, there is rumor of a price drop coming for the Motorola Razr. Does anyone know when this possible drop in the price is coming and what the cost would be with and without a contract?

Thanks!

As far as I know, the Nokia 6230 is still available, they probably just took it off the website, they do that every now and then, it'll probably be back in a few days. The RAZR's price DID drop, it's now only $299.99 with a 2 yr. contract, no mail-in rebate. No contract price has probably been dropped to around $399.99.

How can I get the Razr for 299.99? The website still shows the Razr for Online Price of: $449.99 or for $349.99 After Mail-In Rebate and two year contract. I live in the NY/NJ Metro Area.

Thanks.

They obviously haven't updated the website yet. The new price was effective April 24th; in stores at least. I've noticed a delay of about a week on the website.

The RAZR price depends are market. I really think that cingular dropped 6230. It's only available in certain markets right now..and usually that's a sign it's on it's way out. And sometimes even if it's online, it doesn't show up to sell to the customer....just like the new Samsung P207..it's only available online and even though we're the web match department we can't sell it. yuk.

This really depends on the market, but in most the Razr is going to drop to $299 with a 2 year the 1st of May. The 6230 is no longer available, but at the end of May they are supposed to release an updated version. I THINK they will call it the 6230i(not sure though). Id wait for it!

Dont know.... and don't know. I would assume that they new 6230 will be around the same price as the old one. I think that they are just going to change a few things on it. I haven't heard of any malfunctions on it, so I don't know what there is to fix. I love mine, and anyone I have ever sold it to or that has one loves it. 😕

I purchased one on April 15 and on th night of April 23, I put it on the charger. On April 24, I took it off of the charger and used it for 15 minutes and it completely died. Before then I'd had trouble hearing but I thought I needed to get used to the phone. Then I noticed that sometimes the auto keyguard would work and sometimes it didnt and sometimes it would stutter. I waited for this phone and for what it seems.
