OK so a few days ago there was a big discussion about Push-to-Talk NOT coming to Cingular. But Ive been searching on the internet and have seen some GSM phones like the Nokia 6230i and the 6170 that have PTT and the 850 band for America. And everyone is saying that the 6230i is definately coming to Cingular. Can anyone clear this up?

I cant clear up, but I could add to the fact.

The Sony Ericsson Z500 is PTT ready and Cingular already offers it. 😁

It is ready for it, but you cant use it until the networks has it/ is ready for it. Ya know? But yeah, the button is right on ethe right side if the frony of the phone is facing you.

If the carrier makes a phone that has PTT on it, they can take it off for certain carriers and that is what they will do. Sony Z500 is a prime example.

PTT is something that is coming to cingular. Actually it is already deployed it just is not launched. Cingular is still nervous about it it will be launched soon as a test in a few markets. Cingular does nto want to hurt is reputation buy lcuanching a products that does not work. Rollover used to be a mess it was launched without enough testing and it was crazy. Cingular can not let that happen again.
