Well, if they work like most providers, you will go "month-to-month" at the end of your contract until you resign.

If you want to resign to take advantage of a new promo (Say, they change the minutes for an even better deal then what you have... or get a killer data package you cant live without.) then you will prolly have to switch.

Also, upgrades... unless you pay for the phone outright, they'll prolly want you to resign.

I think its very unlikely they will force you to switch over for no reason, but I wouldnt put it past them.

Cingular has not scheduled any set date for when customers "must" be off the AT&T Wireless billing system. If you want to change your plan to one of the Cingular specials you will have to get new equipment and sometimes a new agreement.

Until Cingular has one system for their "Orange" network I doubt they will force the issue with "Blue" customers.

I am sure someone will post it here as soon as it is made available to employees. I'll bet upper management has some goals but they probably still proprietary at this point.

Anyone else who has solid facts on this and not just speculation it would be appreciated.

The reasons are these. If you live in the western region, anywhere from Idaho to Hawaii, you can't migrate unless you have completed the majority of your blue contract ie:you have 1 year contract and did 11 out of 12 months, you can, if not you can't,if you did 2 year contract, you must complete 21 out of 24 months to migrate.

Next, unless you have a multi-line account or a sharable account, you can't buy a blue phone, since ...
