Update your IMEI and simcard over voice automated system?

I just wanted to know if this is true a customer came into me to replace his lost cingular phone and asked me for the 800# for the automated system to update your simcard imei and esn if applicable is there such a number if yes what is it? 😕 😕 😕

for right now you still have to call customer service and update the account through them.

I'm not aware of anything like this for cingular on the orange side, but on the blue side, we have a system like that to update ESN's for TDMA devices. However, for GSM stuff like SIM cards and IMEIs, customers have to call customer care on both blue and orange as far as I know.
