What's with all the phones?

I've been reading some posts here and everyone's always talking about how they have more than one phone. Why is that? Do y'all get deals on them? I dread purchasing one, I can't possibly imagine having to pick out 2 of them.

Alot of us ave more than one line because CIngular employees get two discounted lines (like free for either 1000 or 500 minutes) and then COR sales reps also get a COU (Company Official Use) line. So most of us have more than one phone for that reason. The only downside is that we only get 30% off the no commitment price because we don't sign contracts on our lines.

Unless like us reps, you win contests. For example, since Xmas '03 I've won a V400, V3, S710a, and just won a 6230 to go along with the company issued L1400.

That's really the only downside to me going from CSR to ASM...no real contests for management.

yeah, or how about since i work in telesales, i get absolutely no discounts on anything. not for phones, not for accessories, not for plans... i got lucky and waited for a good sale and got my Z500a for free with all those fun star wars things. i use that phone to talk to my wife for free, then i use my verizon phone (an LG4500 i believe) to talk to my mom and sisters for free.

no deals for me tho, luckily my mom bought my verizon phone for me.

xoxo
