edge speeds
what is the max speeds you can get with edge?
i have a v551 and the speeds really dont impress me much. They dont seem much faster (if at all) than tmobiles wireless internet which does not have edge

EDGE cooks along at 120-140kbps with bursts up to 220kbps. No you won't have that type of web speed on your phone. It is only if you have the data card that you will surf that fast. It sucks....

yeah, i have a sony ericsson z500a and i don't notice that it's much faster than my verizon phone.

A couple of days ago, a customer brought me his V551 for battery problems. I noticed by his signal strength he had a little multicolored "E". Mine doesn't have that, just the indicator that GPRS is avaliable. I wonder what gives? EDGE is avaliable all over Dallas, and we were in the same spot!
