my last call of the day yesterday came in 6 minutes to the end of my shift. Apparently the customer worked for 911 services in san somethingorother,CA, and because he worked for county he was entitled to a discount thru our FAN process, so far so good, except he has been on service since 2001, no FAN# was attached to the account(Ever), and he just migrated to cingular orange gsm last month so tdma account is closed. He never checked to see if discount was applied and is"miffed" that he spent "too much over past four years for wireless service"....Now FAN discounts range from 5-20 %, usually gov't is around 10%, he would have saved about 3-4$ a month.

Here's the kicker-no FAN# and cust wanted us to apply the discount for the last 4 years t...

Sadly, I've got that beat. Oddly enough, it was a AT&T cust. Guy had an "extra line" though his business at some wierd $7.99 rate that had expired back in 1998. He said he never used the phone, and even though he paid the bill on time for SEVEN YEARS said that he didn't know the account was active. So now he wanted a refund, for ... (wait for it!) ... the last seven years! If you guessed this escalated ... your are right! If you guess the customer recieved zero credits ... you would be right again! Pop quiz, did the customer also say:

1) You're not giving me good customer service!

2) Can't you give me a loyalty credit so I can cancel this service?

3) Didn't you see I wasn't using the phone?

Answer: All three are correct.

yup ive had that too, the kicker is the good customer service or what i call gimme gimme syndrome, which can advance intoa bad case of "i didnt get what iwanted now i am entitled to sue for an inflated amount of $$$ cuase u guys suck-itis"... which can be potentially fatal 😁

LOL! I know what you all mean. If you don't notice that there is an error in your bil and pay for it tough! How the heck are we suppose to know about it?
